Darn Birds!

Well, my decision to leave the umbrella out with the bird nest in the lantern was a kind choice, but not the smartest one. At about 4:30 am I woke up to a "thump thump scraaaape" sound outside the house. I went downstairs to check it out and was surprised to find that the table had toppled over and the top of the umbrella had hit the window! Thankfully, it didn't break the window, but it did break our new umbrella. I pulled the lantern off to lower it and but it was wet from the rain and it slipped out of my hand, falling onto the glass table top. The table didn't break, but the lantern did. The birdnest is still laying on the table where it fell. I didn't have the heart to destroy it, although the birds certainly aren't using it anymore. I pushed the table up closer to the house so the wind couldn't blow it over into the window again... and then tried going to back to sleep... hahaha!!! Let's just say it was a very lazy day around the house.
To follow up on yesterday, dinner at Mike's Farm was... different. It was the same food we get at Arnold's (fried chicken, green beans, macaroni and cheese) but served to the table in family style portions to share. There is no menu, you just eat what they bring you. I think I will take Min there when she comes to visit.
The bicycle maintanence class went great. Everyone received a grab bag full of goodies like socks, a new jersey, and tools. We learned how to change a tire, and how to clean the chain, which I will try before the next ride on Wednesday.
Ahead: Sushi lunch with Kimberlee, and the bicycle club meeting.
