Dog Attack

This morning, a stray Pit Bull - looking dog was in my backyard. I let Sandy out to, uh, do her thing, and she saw it right away. Of course, she went right up to it to as she always does - fearless girl! Unfortunately, the dog turned vicious and attacked Sandy leaving two gashes on the right side of her mouth. I rushed her to the vet for an expert opinion on her condition. Just a surface wound, no stiches required, and thank goodness we keep her up to date on her shots. They recommended Neosporin, which I applied later at home. Sandy is zonked out now taking a nap - recovering from the shock of being attacked, no doubt. I got a couple of photos of the mean creature to take over to Town Hall. It's a small enough town, someone will know who's dog it is. Not sure if I can press charges or not... has a crime been committed?

Also, today: Randy, the fence guy, is supposed to come by and set the posts.

Yes, you can file criminal charges on the owner...there should be a leash law, you can recover your vet bills or if you can get the animal control to pick him up and take him to the pound...i do not like pit bulls at all...had a prospective tenant and when he told me he had a pit bull, i said no...there is a new law here in houston about pit bulls...godd luck...
